Will be fine.

Although that i5 set up for £90 would have been a bargain.

well major probs with this new rig, built it all looked ok until power up time... not a single fan whiring :( thought it may be the PSU that came with the tower... but then swapped a old 350 PSU THIS DOES WORK.. but still no joy :( :( :( could be a dudd board.. or the switch on fron of the new tower is dudd... pffffffffffffffffffff gonna have to go thru the hassle of sorting it with ebay geeza now

Have you made sure that you have connected all the motherboard power connectors?

You can test the power switch by getting a flat head screwdriver and putting it across the two pins for the power switch on the motherboard (will rule out whether it is the actual button or not).

yeah everything was connected ok.. the only wires that gave us a little puzzle were the front panel ones...on the pins on the board it has... HDDLED/RESET/PWRBTN/PLED... but there is no PLED wire coming from case only HDDLED/RESET/PWSW

which we presumed was the switch/button..same thing... so all went toghether with ease... then no power.

did the paper clip across the green and black on the 24 pin jobby..also hooked up a case fan to see if anything worked.. fuck all. it is a really cheap chinese PSU mind probaly 9/10 are faulty knowing what chinese electricals are like

with the 350 PSU we did get the reset LED to light up... but still no fans or shit happeneing... i have built it all and packaged it up to all go back as a built rig... they can look at it and do tests and replace parts for me..

i have a uncanny knack of buying brand new rig bits that dont work... last time it the water cooler i got had to send that bk to clockers..... :(

I cleaned in and around my PC last night. Shit myself when I hit the power button and it was as dead as a dodo :(

Then I realised the PSU lead wasn't in properly. Idiot

I've done that many times as well as forgetting to hit the switch on the back of the PSU.

now then now then my little crettlings... heres a puzzle for you .... tried to install a radion HD 5 SERIES CARD INTO THIS NEW RIG... now the power supply cable i have is the 6 pin one.. and fits into the 4 pin PSU standard..apart from it has a pin missing.. and one off the yellow wires is looped back into the 6 pin bit... anyway couldnt get the card to work properly.. it started up for a few seconds then got 6 beeps and shit. im wondering if i need all 4 pins... this wire may have been from my older bfg 7950 card... not sure.. what do we think ????? ohh and i disables the onboard graphics in the bios then it wouldnt even show the bios menu on boot up... bleep city..with or without the card in... i had to re-set the bios using the little jumper next to the battery... pffff
