Film catchup

Post by skeletor »

Took a break from work over the Xmas holidays and caught up on some films.

Machete Kills - Good, follows pretty much the same as the first.
World War Z - Good, ending wasn't great.
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 - As sequels go a good film.
Don Jon - Alright but the accents were really really annoying.
Alan Partidge Alpha Papa - Thought it was going to be shit but actually quite enjoyed it.
The Hangover Part 3 - A bit meh, getting rather repetitive.
The Internship - Standard Vince Vaughan/Owen Wilson shit.
Rush - Great film.
Despicable Me 2 - Another good sequel although preferred the first.
The World's End - Probably Pegg/Frost's worst film to date.
Kick-Ass 2 - Didn't think the first one was great, this didn't improve on it.
Monsters University - Monsters Inc is one of my favourite films, this didn't live up to my hype but still a decent film.
We're the Millers - Some funny scenes but largely "meh".
This is the End - See "We're the Millers".
Riddick - Was OK, I'm a fan of the series. If you're not then it was probably a bit boring.

...I watched quite a few films.

I've watched most of these myself and agree with a majority of what you say.

Machete Kills - Wasn't as good as the first one in my opinion and the next one is just going to be even worse.
World War Z - I agree with, Ending really let it down.
Not seen .
Not seen.
Not seen.
Hangover Part 3 - I agree although the bridge part had me in stitches (Right at the very end is the funniest part) but should have ended with the first one.
The Internship - Boring.
Not seen.
Despicable Me 2 - I also prefer the first one but would be shit if the minions wasn't in it.
The World's End - Not the best film but when Nick Frost gets pissed it gets a lot better, Better than Paul imo.
Kick-Ass 2 - I think the first one is better but The Motherfucker bit was great.
Monsters University - I thought it was pretty boring really disappointing.
We're The Millers - was pretty funny just too much filler but the funny bits make up for it, For me.
This the End - They pretty much killed too many off straight away but Danny McBride carries the films thought it was hilarious.
Not seen.

I've watched

Gravity - Fucking boring, I can't just say boring I have to say FUCKING BORING.
Lone Survivor - Pretty good film based on real events, I really enjoyed it.
We Are What We Are - Supposed to be a horror, Well it's the most boring horror you'll ever see.
Metallica Through the Never - I like metal and even I don't understand why they made this pointless fucking film.
The Family - It wasn't too bad better than I was expecting.
Carrie (Remake) - If you've seen the original just pass cause this is just as shit.

That's all I can remember but I've watched a lot of shit so explains why I'd rather forget them.

Yeah, haven't seen the TV show before so wasn't sure what to expect from it.

Just watched new Star Trek, was a bit disappointed with it.

Just replied, realised I had hardly reviewed anything from 2013. Listed about 15 films and still adding. I opened a pdf to print (at work) and had an explainable spasm in my finger when closing it. A double click proceeded to close the IE widow behind it as well. Major fail. Fuck this.
