I'd been doing the same. Then thought "why am I doing that?" and went to the source itself.

Well this has opened up a new world....

Back on topic, the next line is a lie.

True Detective is shit. I did not consecutively watch seven episodes and go to bed at 2am last night.

:D yeah its as good as any film id say... HBO and SHOWTIME really churn out some brilliant shows. i was having this talk with the misses the other day.. why the fuck cant the bbc do anything decent...apart from david attenbough stuff all of there series are only 4-6 eps long... the fooking money they get off the public there is no excuse. think about it even if 3 million people dont pay the licence fee in the uk..which is way over the top as i dont know anyone without a tv set... but that leaves 60 million people that pay about £120 a year thats £720000000 quid to play with... im sure they could do 12 episode like every fucker else....

yeah good show true detective

Sherlock is a prime example. My girlfriend talked me into watching it and although I think some parts were shit (sorry but the Moriaty character in that is shit) it was generally enjoyable and produced well. But 3 episodes a series? What the fook. Even feature length is still less than 5 shows.

True Detective will be interesting since the way the story is told it's not really geared up for a second season is it.

I think I read they were doing a completely different cast for season 2 with a different storyline. Not sure if that was just rumour or not though.

Same, hadn't realised it was 8 episodes.

All in all it was quite good although it was a bit slow to get going.

Apparently Brad Pitt is being linked to Matthew McConaughey's spot!
I haven't finished the first season yet but impressive if true.
