I'd be surprised if you are favourites to go down. Usually the team that goes up in the play offs is favourite.
Burnley have to get their finances sorted this year though. You're lucky you're going up, if you weren't your finances would be a mess.

Best part is I have no fucking idea where all the moneys gone?
Dyche has bought 1 player for less than 500 k but yeah promotion is definitely going to help!

Re: Premiershit/Championship 2013/14
I heard something about Burnley being told to replace part of the Turf Moor ground because one of the stands is mostly wooden. Any truth to that?

Palace have the same thing. The "Main Stand" is old and a lot of it is wooden. The fire safety certificate runs out in a few years and they're worried about it not being renewed.
Saying that, they just replaced all the old rusting blue cladding with new white cladding and also replaced all the old wooden seats with plastic ones at the beginning of the season. Given that the cladding cost £250k I'm sure they wouldn't have done it if the stand needs to be torn down in a year or so.
Looking at Burnleys accounts for last year - here
Revenue was down around £7m from 2012 to 2013 due to television rights. Everything else was more or less stable.
You reduced your staff costs by £1.5m.
I'm sure Rev could read in to it a lot more than me...

Re: Premiershit/Championship 2013/14
Only wood we have is in the away end pretty sure that and the stadium itself
is going to eat our budget/promotion money AGAIN... out of the 120 million (We are supposed to get out of the promotion)
will more than likely be spent on the stadium (Hotel, Night Club and a load of other unnecessary shit) maybe sign Kightly on a full unless Stoke decide to keep and be back in the championship by December!

Coventry have a hotel/casino attached to theirs. Derby/Leicester/Coventry/Reading/Wigan are all pretty much the same ground wise. I still prefer the older grounds like Selhurst and Hillsborough.

I'd be happy if they just upgraded the away end to plastic seats but that doesn't look to be the case
I'd rather spend 20/30% on players which can keep us up I love Turf Moor the way it is and won't be the same
if they do what they talk about doing, The older grounds seem to have a be a better atmosphere!

Re: Premiershit/Championship 2013/14
Can't tell too much without reading all the notes. The only thing I would be concerned about is that you've sold players for many millions, been promoted and had the associated payments and fuck all to show for it. You've spent a few million on players but not a lot. So where has the rest of the cash gone?
We get slated for the spending spree we had but at least we know where our losses were (blame Sven!). Thankfully it was the owners who bankrolled it as well and not a promotion. So we're no worse off really.

Which makes it even worse for them to slag off big spending teams and cry about how small your squad is. You can't stash the profits and expect to have a decent size squad filled with top players. You've probably over achieved this season (I think all three of our teams have) by more than any other PL/Champ side but I just wish people would enjoy it instead of making out they did it in harder circumstances.BlacKBlazE wrote:Well to be honest we know where all the money has gone....IN THE BOARDS BACK POCKET.
