I noticed that most motherboards do have SPDIF optical, so I will settle for that.
Any particular motherboard which I should get?

Stick to one of the name brands and you'll be alright.

Gigabyte, DFi, Asus, MSI

It's now almost 1,5 years later and I still don't have a new rig.
I don't have much time to play games these days, and when I do have time, I used my MacBook Pro with Windows to play games.
Since a couple of weeks it's undoable because of very low frame rates. (probably a driver/Windows update)
Even games like DayZ are unplayable now.

i must say i have been impressed with mac stuff ..well ipad phone pod stuff... if you just want it to do as its told great... but without that jailbreak crack no chance of modding stuff...and as far as downloading things i couldnt get it to do shit last year on jollys.. but i can see why people in design and stuff use them.
