Time for a clean me thinks.

I don't know why the fan doesn't appear blurred in the 2nd pic, I can assure you it was moving when I took the picture.

I will have a look at that when I take it out. I was considering taking off the chipset cooling and putting some AS5 down to bring temps down, may help with the overclocking.

i have done exactly that i dont know if it voids warrenty tho, i also put arctic ceramic pads on the heat pipes on the psupply regulators. my mobo was always reading 48-52degs idle!!! its now about 42-45 these boards do run hot, mines even hotter cause its the 975x chipset.

Yeah well the 965p chipset is cooler. But the northbridge is still hot. It doesn't have a sensor for it, but I would say it is around 40deg.

No camera, my dad has it and he left for Spain today. I will take some piccys when he gets back.

That is what it looks like:

It is running cooler without a fan than the stock cooler that came with it did with a fan. 8O

But this one only works with the 8800 series. For all other cards, the ThermalRight HR-03. This is the plus version which is bigger as the core of the graphics card is bigger.

Not sure about the original but this is better than stock without a fan, so one with a quiet fan will do wonders.

EDIT: Just realised that pic isn't mine, that would be the one you would need, mine has 6 heatpipes.
