CS:GO Workshop

Post by liquid »

What is this about? I don't really get the idea behind this.

I always enjoyed adding custom content to CSS, especially weapon skins.
In CS:GO this is not possible/allowed. There is a way to change your weapons, but as I read you will risk a steam ban when joining public servers.

So I made a weapon finish in the CS:GO workshop and I thought that I could use it in the game by selecting it in my inventory.

WRONG!!!
Apparently you can only create stuff so that other players can vote for it. If you have enough votes, your creation will be added to a future update of the game.
This means that IF you get enough votes, you can eventually BUY your OWN design in the marketplace. WTF???

I just want to play the game with my own weapon skin

£$€

By stopping custom skins they've limited wallhacks through texture packs.

Yeah that's what I understood.

But I still think it's a bit weird that I can't use my own design after approval.
