i see its free, anyone seen it yet ? i didnt even look at 8 as i heard it was shite.. im still on 7 but seeing as the rig is not doing as its told i may install 10 if it keeps all my shit

Installed it earlier on, upgraded from 7.

Took just under an hour to download and install. Pretty nice actually, everything is quick again, 7 was slowing down a fair bit. Had zero issues so far.

8 was shit. 8.1 sorted out all the shit bits.

i have just got a replacement HD to pop in today, wondering whether to try it on that and keep the other as dormant for now... maybe install cs:go on the new one and see if it is win7 playing up... i did just download that five nights at freddys 4 cos devilo spawn youngest kept on... and on install it asked if i wanted to repair windows re-dist c++ watever so i did and i didnt crash he said... i will try cs:go and find out if that was the issue

You can upgrade to Windows 10 then rollback to Windows 7 if need be although I haven't tried it as 10 is working quite well for me.

rolled back after an hour... VLC media player went pink... media player i downloaded for win 10 had no audio... windows media player still wont play MKV files.. what a joke. all of the control panel stuff still looks exactly basically its win 7 dressed up as something its not. My videos disapeared.. had to search high and low in file explorer or whatever... fail win 7 for the ..er win

Not had any problems with VLC.

Only problem I have had is when setting the PC to go to sleep on occasion it wakes up a minute later. A restart fixed that although it is a tad annoying.

I understand ou can make install disk/flash so once you've upgraded so you can do a clean a install?
