Hi guys! Finally on the forum. I just read a post with Vambo preaching about the er-4s earphones. I'm actually lookin to get rid of my er-4s's coz I've only used them like 6 times and got sick of having to shove them right in my ear. Its a shame as they cost me 180 but went an got the Sennheiser HD650s as I had the HD600s before and they are in the 'fuckin awesome' category. They dont however isolate the sound which is what most people want headphones for anyway. They were 230 quid. Mmm so 80 quid for fully boxed er-4s anyone lol? negotiable i guess.

I have the hd600's too, i upgraded them from the hd570's a long time ago. only because the ex stood on them, bitch! I have tried lots of headphones 
Take it your into your quailty sounds too?..
Have to say though the er4's are leaps and bounds ahead in actual sound quality, i miss the deep fast bass response with them, but the overall quality is truely amazing. Have you ever tried them on a valve headphone amp? if you have a good source too its the best combination you can get in my opinon. If you cant get a good fit there no good so ur best to sell, but if they do fit i wouldnt give up on them to easily you have used them 6 times.... plus you cant exactly go out on the streets with big hd can's on! well you can but you look like a twat!
you could always get some ear moulds made for them!?
You got ripped off for your 650's i can get them for a penny shy of 180 sheets, id love to try them but thats it as now im not going to be buying headphones for many years... ill be keeping my lady at a distance to make sure of it!

Well I agree the ER-4s are incredibly detailed across every type of music. They take pretty much anything you throw at them and seem to be a miracle in something so small (without the plugs on they're tiny!). However I hate the fact they sound different depending on how deep you put them in, or if it doesnt seal right etc. I'd rather just not bother and also washing the earpieces I think the HD650 are significantly better than the 600s. Very nice soundstage, had my housemates like "wtf!" when playin some michael jackson lol. Very musical and nice for jazz n live music. So I'll just stick with that, I dont use an mp3 player out n about anyway. I'd love to try a valve amp and stuff, maybe when I get some free cash. (spent 560 on my car stereo :/ ) As there is ALWAYS something to do to make them better (even upgrading the cable that comes with it).. I checked lots of sites at the time and 230 was cheap trust me. So I dont feel ripped off, they're worth every penny! Enough of me rambling, the 80 quid offer is still there lol.
EDIT: and what is it with skel n sparksy treating me like im immortal around here. I do like it though so dont stop.
