You won't find a good onboard graphics card, if you are gaming at least, even then a 8400GT(S) would be better than onboard.

Are you socket 939 or AM2?

You can get a E6320, P35 Motherboard and 1GB DDR2 RAM for around £250. Which once overclocked is suitable for all games at the moment.

G82 is an 8800GT. I think it is a slightly revised G80 core, so not too much different from the current GTS's.

The only P35 motherboard I have used is the Gigabyte PA-P35-DS3R. I am using one myself and I built a friends PC with one. Good motherboard with plenty of features.

I would say get X38 motherboard but I think they are all DDR3 only which is extremely expensive with bad latencies so P35 is the best option.

The GA-P35-DS3R is DDR2 only. The GA-P35C-DS3R, note the C has slots for DDR2 and DDR3.

You do know the board you have picked out is microATX right? It is also using the old 965P chipset which is still good and works with the new quad cores with a BIOS update. Although do take note that motherboard won't take the new 1333FSB CPUs.

Don't forget if you want more than 3.5GB of RAM you need to use a 64-bit operating system. 32-bit operating systems can see 4GB minus the graphics card memory, so it generally ends up with 3.5GB of usable RAM.

You can get the GA-P35-DS3R for £73.59 on Amazon.

I guess it depends on what you will be using it for? Is this for gaming or a PVR style PC.
A review wrote:The Intel integrated graphics on the GA-965GM-S2 are strong enough to support business applications, general computer use, Web surfing or email. While it won’t hold up to most gaming past what’s including with Windows, the performance and stability the test system showed mated to a high-powered single graphic card solution, it could be built into a strong gaming machine – or even a formidable LAN box.

MicroATX motherboards aren’t just stripped down ATX motherboards anymore. The GA-965GM-S2 is a gleaming example of a full-featured MicroATX motherboard. It has the stability and can be built into quite a powerhouse. Given its size and performance capabilities, it could easily find itself in a HTPC or at the heart of a LAN going system. Given how well the GA-965GM-S2 tested, we are going to feature it soon in a system and even the most hardcore gamers would be more then happy to include into LAN going arsenal. If you’re looking for a MiniATX motherboard, then look no further then the GA-965GM-S2 you won’t be disappointed.

what speed of memory does the gigabyte board take?

dont worry, its upto 1067mhz....

now, with a price difference of 44p, do i go for the p35 or the p35c if ddr3 ever gets sorted out?

also, talking about memory, is it really worth getting 8500 memory as it is bloody expensive compared to te slower stuff, especially as you have to buy 2 of the bastards. cheapest 4200 cl4 1+1gb = 39.99............ cheapest 8500 cl5 1+1gb = 103.94 (i wouldnt pay that anyway) (crucial)

ps found a E6550 2.33GHz 'Conroe' 4Mb for 105.00 so ill go for that as the 6320's are about 100quid anyway.
