With CSS you see more to your left and right, so you see more of the playing field then non-widescreen people.

Ubuntu will look nice though or kubnuntu whatever its called now.

ubuntu uses gnome, kubuntu uses kde. just a different gui.

I haven't actually looked at Gentoo. Perhaps it will be better getting that rather than the 4.2GB release of Ubuntu 7.10 Beta.

EDIT: Maybe not, don't like KDE.
