Training Program: PT : Non CSS topic

Post by Oglaigh »

Hi all, bit of an oddball topic here :D

Basically Ive resumed physical training (after a spell of about a years absence) and am looking for inspiration for a good training program for the next few weeks. Currently mines quite dull, Ive been doing the Army style green light system: Push Ups/ Sit Ups/ Running. Skint at the moment till I hopefully past my assessments for the police. Basically I need a cheap program in order to increase Cardio and upper body strenght as I cant afford a personal trainer or an NCO pti. Any advice tips or links welcome.

Cheers Oglaigh

Look around on the net for something called the 300 workout. Supposed to be very good, there are a few variants of it.

the best traing workout you can get is on a punchbag mate. does cardio and everything else all at once. you burn more calouries than any other form of exercise as well. joining a boxing gym would be good, you dont have to sparr just use the equipment. hard work but good. my punchbag has a few cobwebs on it in the shed, and my gut is still protruding somewhat...im gettin a bit over the hill for boxing...hard work.

Do my program :). Run 10miles a day. bench press 150kilo.
100 sit ups, 100 press ups. Do it for about a month or two. I dont do that in all fairness. My idea of training is playing the Wii in Metric's.
Thats Stallone shit there. Do that basic Army PT's man. Look them up.

boxing also sharpens reflexes and enables you to punch somebody with a big red glove ftw

Spartan 300 idea is intresting, lol lack of space for a punch bag atm. But Iam into week 2 of my training program though the army style incremental increase program is only 3 weeks long. Though Iam temped to buy and addapt the Wii controller for the PC, suppositly its possible according to PC Gamer Mag using a blue tooth reciever and a few scripts.

The spartan idea is supposed to be the one that they used to get in shape for the film 300, but that is said to be a load of bullshit.

But I don't see how with a good diet it wouldn't be beneficial.

Although I think you get fucked rather quickly doing it.
