Anyone Else Feel The Earthquake ?

Post by Oglaigh »

Anyone else here feel the earthquake or did you all sleep through it ? thats the strongest one Ive ever experienced. Fucking taught it was the fucking poltergeist or something scared the shit out of me. I was playing arma with earphones on and the sound up high while in a chopper in the game :o then the room started shaking for a good ten seconds. Getting voilent then receding.

Well it could of being worse I suppose.

No hazards,
No deaths,
No cow being hurled through windows,
Consider yourself lucky ;)

I was awake through it, on vent my cousin was talkin to his mate in Nottingham.
He says his house is shakin and few seconds later we get it here. Epicentre was in lincoln or summit.

And cant remember where but one bloke was in bed and now has a broken pelvis because his chimney fell in and landed on him.

Just crazy how far away people could feel it from, I was in game, should have saved the text files as every UK player felt it. Good to know that no Internet Connections were affected :) , wonder how much more force would be needed to stop online gaming.

Earthquakes can be known to cut cables that are layed out in the oceans which can pretty much cut off a country from the Internet.

I slept right through it though :D

yup woke me up here in sunny coventry. i thought " what the fuck is the baby shaking the bed for??" then realised hes to small to shake the bed, i opened my eyes to see the wardrobe door just sort of banging and stoping. i thought thats a earthquake , we had one about 2 years ago here and i slept though it. misses was on the comp chair when it happened, she went round in sort of circle and cacked it, then the neighbor rang to ask if she had experienced the same... very exciting shame it didnt stop me going to work :(

Yeah its weird and the Midlands were quite close to the epi-center. Man it was completely un-expected, fair enough it was a minor earthquake on a global scale but when you dont realise initially whats happening. I thought the room was going to fall through and it was looked like something from a supernatural horror film with paper falling down and things rocking.
