Rooney, Milner & Johnson are poor. Young is doing nothing again. What's gonna happen?!

Milner was poor as was Young.

Johnson should of done better getting the ball out of his feet.

Didn't see Rooney win a header.

Went to bed after 90mins.

We should have lost by 90 mins so not too bothered...although Johnson should of scored an easier goal than Rooney's header..
Parker fucked up a shot direct on goal from Buffon punching it out.. our chances were there but nobody to put them away.
Just hoping Woy picks a stronger non-liverpool team for the world cup.

Johnson's was harder than Rooney's. Especially given that Rooney is an out-and-out striker.

Parker was pretty shit. Quite a few occasions where he tried to play a through ball down the right but ended up just smacking it out for a goal kick.

Match stats (passes and shots) show that Italy were by far the superior team.

Have to be careful with stats though. Our squad of players meant that from day one of the tournament we were never going to dominate possession in any match. Our problem was no counter attacking threat when we did get the ball. It was so frustrating to see Italy have 8 men in our own half, yet when we got the ball there was nobody breaking forward and before we knew it they had 6 back on 3 attackers. Just wasn't good enough. It's a shame Barry was injured, he would have been better with Gerrard than Parker. Although barry isn't necessarily as good at the back as Parker he is a lot better going forward sacrificing not too much defensively.

I still would have liked to see a 4-3-3 type formation. With Parker, Gerrard, Lampard/Barry in midfield and then play Carroll or Welbeck up front with a choice of Ox, Young Walcott, Downing, Adam Johnson & Sturridge (how Sturridge and Johnson didn't make the squad but Downing did just simply boggles my mind) on the wing. We tried to win like Chelsea, we may as well have played a similar formation

The stat in particular that I was thinking off was after 75-80 mins I think, which was England had 7 shots, Italy had 24.

And England would be even worse. People watch football and think it's easy and anyone can play at that standard but I can assure you they would get annihilated.

Last game of the season in the Sunday league I play in, the opposition striker had been playing in the Ryman Premier South which Palace had just bought a player from. I can assure he was far better than anyone I have ever played again and even that was 7-8 divisions below the Premiership.
