Post by sparksy »

ive been trying to do a new spray.. saw mr wraths the other day and thought id have a go... it would seem ive forgot how to get rid of the background and just have the shape showing . if i remeber you have to delite the background and open an alpha channel ..trouble is mine keeps coming up black ???

also what do you save it as ???? its not jpeg is it if its got transparency in it is it ?? amazing what you can forget if you dont use things all the time..

When you go in to the channels section, when you click your transparency channel it should make the background a slightly transparent red. If it is then save as TGA (Targa) remembering to tick alpha channel box.

Did you do a selection of the image that you cut out? If you do, the alpha channel should be black with a white area where your image is.

Yup, within layers, press and hold Ctrl + Shift and click on each layer. Then go into channels and click the alpha channel button.
