Got a chance to watch it wednesday its an interseting new storline but may up the same as the perivous stargates wil probably be able to tell after the first 3 episodes.

May have started off slow but it has opened up a lot of possibilities for the rest of the season.

Very hit and miss with the episodes. Can have a really shitty one followed by a great one. Will never be in the same realm as SG-1.

Actors got pay rises after each season as it got more and more popular up to the point where it was costing too much paying the actors. So they cancelled it and did Atlantis as a spin off with new cast members at lower wages with the odd cameo appearance from the SG-1 team. After a few seasons of Atlantis they realised that the stories were pretty much the same and the characters were very similar to the SG-1 team, so that was axed. Then Universe was a new approach while using the Stargate brand to get an audience.
