Just watched it and thought it was pretty crap.

I have never seen the original so can't compare but I found myself getting bored. If it wasn't for Jessica Biel I would of probably stopped watching half way through.

original is more intense...and was really the first slasher movie made..

tobe hooper the director lived in the same county as ed gein ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ed_Gein ) his idea was to have a whole family of them....
