New hard drive in my server

Post by skeletor »

Added another hard drive in to my server this morning.

Also moved it in to the cupboard so I can't hear it and my PC has been moved from on top of my desk to where the server was to the side of the desk and now I can hardly hear it. Amazing what 1.5m difference can do to sound.

Each hard drive is around £60-70 delivered for 1TB. The space is mostly used by films.

Films: 1.3TB
TV Shows: 0.6TB
Music: 57GB
Photos: 1.3GB
Software: 40GB

Then the rest is documents backed up.

Neither.

It is Windows Home Server which is based on Windows Server 2003 which is essentially XP in server form. I hope Microsoft do make a Windows 7 Home Server, this one is really good.
