Surrogates

Post by skeletor »

Very similar sort of thing as the Gamer. Robots are controlled by humans where they cannot be hurt or killed and live their lives through the robot.

Select groups of people fight back against the robots.

It was alright, went through it quite quickly, don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing.

You went through it quickly? Like if someone is good at FPS's they can finish a game quicker, you're some sort of ace movie watcher that watches stuff in fast forward and can understand squeeky quick words?

Yes, people live their lives through robots. So you plug yourself in and you can jump off buildings and you will still be alive and no harm will come to you. People become dependant on them.

There is a select group of people who don't believe you should live your live through a machine and have their own suburbs etc and end up fighting back.

I meant it just went quickly. Sometimes you sit down to watch a film and you think that 5 hours has passed which normally equates to a good film, but this film didn't seem to last very long. I felt like I had been watching it for 20mins or so. I don't know if it is a good thing or a bad thing that it felt really quick.

Well I'd say it is a good thing, because if you watch a film that lasts 85 mins and it feels like it's been 185 mins it is usually a bad thing  In respect to it feeling like it lasted 20mins, how long was it? 20 mins? :P

Don't think so. Haven't seen anything in the press etc but it is out on BluRay in the US so I assume it skipped the cinema over here.

It has an alright cast, although Rosamund Pike and Radha Mitchell do look pretty rank without their make up on...still would though...
