After much research and contemplation, i decided im gonna get one. Scoured the net for numnerous sites regarding parts and custom built pc`s, and found that Alienware is only 100euro more expensive that say if i was to build one myself.
By all means inform me of any other sites yous might find helpfull. But i am avoiding sites like ebay-boards ect.

Re: AlienWare
Only sites I have ever looked at before are things like Novatech. Thats because many years ago my uncle built what was at the time a top rig for about £400. But you know more about these things than me mate so no idea why I am even replying to you

Re: AlienWare
Most of the Alienware PCs before Dell bought them were at a minimum £300 more than a custom build. Give me the link to the spec and I will see.
Re: AlienWare

Re: AlienWare
You will find the 1GB ATI® Radeon™ HD 5870 graphics card will be better than Dual 1GB ATI® Radeon™ HD 5770 graphics card and cheaper.
Which i7, they only offer i7. I have a 920.
Also upgrade to 6GB+ RAM, don't stick with 3GB.

Re: AlienWare
lol just posted that before you posted yours. yeah 9gb ram, how will the single gpu work our better than the dual? and i chose the cheapest i7, you can get it with an i3 and i5 but when you click modify with i7 it onlys lists the i7 processors
Re: AlienWare
i7 920 will be fine.
The single card out performs the dual cards as they are slower than the single card. It's just the way it is.
Crossfire and SLi never give you 2x the performance anyway, it is closer to 1.2-1.5x the performance, but the 5870 is a much better card than the 5770.

I have a hint, if you didnt spend so much cash on a whopper 32" fucking monitor you wouldnt have to worry about splashing on a rig. Are you blind yet from the bloody thing?METRIC wrote:sweet thanks skel, appreciate it. Any other hints you have
