rig wouldnt boot up today... boot disk fail... anyway after faffing i had to unplug an internal HD which coincedently had had disk check look at it a good few times... so either the HD itself is bolloxed or maybe the sata port is playing up.. but its a newish board so my money is on the HD

Mine went recently too, Windows drive. Replaced with an SSD, expensive but quick.

My SSD was £50. Bargain. Boots up in like 20 seconds. Well maybe not, but its soooo quick to what I have ever had before it feels like 20 seconds. I migh time myself from powering on to getting into a game.

I don't shut down my computer anymore. In BIOS set the sleep mode to S3 sleep. Then change the button from Shut down to Sleep. Turns off in a couple of seconds, boots up in a couple of seconds.
