I think so, they were planning for the original (the GTS?) to be the fastest 4 door car around the Nurgburg ring.
Unfortunately a bit out of my price range. They are filming a segment on it at the moment for Fifth Gear but I have no idea when it will be shown on TV.

I only know what I hear on Top Gear ect... I can't remember if they were talking about this or the original GTS... I know they've made something
faster than the Buggati Veyron.
Speaking of Top Gear. Did anyone see the Bond Car Special? I turned it off after the annoying Hammond twat started blabbering on about the early car chase scene in Skyfall. Why do they do that?! Hammond needs to realise Clarkson and May make that program and he is just along for the ride.

I thought it was the best Top Gear for ages but yes the spoiler on the Skyfall stuff was unnecessary and really annoying.
I thought they could have got rid of the bit with the "Top Gear" Lotus and actually did a few more interviews with the staff about the cars. They talked a lot about the older cars but the newer films they just rushed past it all. Didn't even mention the fact that the DBS wasn't available when doing Casino Royale and they ended up using DB9s with DBS body kits on them and a hack and slash on the interior.
Thought it would have been better if May had done it rather than Hammond. Glad Clarkson wasn't involved.
Funny that... I don't understand how May is on the show?
Would be fine with Hammond and Clarkson in my opinion.
Don't think I've seen the bond special yet, either that or I've watched that many eps
in one day that I've completely forgot about it.
I think Top Gear is great because of all three presenters. They all bring something to it.
The Bond Special was great, maybe May would have been better, but Hammond did a good job. A combination of Hammond and Clarkson could have worked as well (like in the Lancia special)
