england football toss merchants
sack them all ..go up the park and get some kids playing footy..then teach them how to play as a team. What the fuck is it with our team whoever it is as soon as they get the ball they shit their pants and boot it to anyone near them..including the other team. At lease david beckam could actually kick the ball in what direction he wanted it to go. All sacked..ave it

A major problem is players are picked based on who they play for. There are lots of quality players who don't play for one of the big clubs who are more than worthy of getting in the squad (and most likely the first XI given the performances of some players) but they won't while they play for either a bottom of the Premier club or Championship club.

The team was shit I'm glad about 30% will be new young talent for Euros cause the old deadwood couldn't handle it.
Plenty of young lads in lower league teams who aren't paid over the top money and would actually play for the badge on the shirt
rather than all them cunts who think they have a right to be there!

Re: england football toss merchants
Surprised this thread wasn't started sooner. There are a few problems, one being that they just don't seem to give a shit. I read somewhere about the English rugby team belting out the national anthem, claiming they weren't good enough despite losing 3 games fairly narrowly against the world champions and undisputed best team in the world. Then it talked about Jimmy Anderson practically busting into tears in a press conference after he was 2 balls away from saving a test match before being bowled out (May be inaccurate). Then by comparison the English football team claim to be showing improvement, taking the positives and "proving what we can do" after registering our first World Cup point in a drab 0-0 against an already qualified (who's have thought it) Costa Rica. Behave. There is no improvement, nothing to be happy about, nothing to take from it. It was shocking apart from a bit of the Italy game.
Now squad selection is also a joke. All this planning for the future bollocks. This isn't a club. We should pick the best players at any moment in time that want to put on the England shirt. It isn't a case of once you're in you stay in, players should be fighting all year round. And if they're off form, not selected! A lot of Leicester fans were joking about Vardy for England but honestly I wonder whether a team full of players like him, fast and hungry, would be better than the shit we put out.
Players like Bryan Ruiz are nothin special for Fulham. In an international shirt though he stepped up for Costa Rica. People like him play with no fear, take what they can and give it their all. The England team just don't have that mentality. I don't know what it is without being involved in the set up, none of is will. But there is something wrong in the background, perhaps the FA themselves? Even the warm up matches were a joke and complete money spinners.
We need to start selecting the best players at any moment for a squad, not because of the team the play for or the media coverage they carry. And stop "planning for the future", it's the next match we should be concerned with!

Re: england football toss merchants
I would have rather had Kieran Trippier at right back than Glen Johnson cause that cunt doesn't give 2 fucks!
Hopefully Gerrard fucks off and retires only 2 players really impressed me and that was Gary Cahill (barring the mistakes although Jags was waaaaaaay worse and should have taken Terry) and Sterling who's a greedy fucker Barkley and Lallana looked good in the warmup games but didn't show up at the tournament which was really disappointing but in a couple years time you'd think they will still be there more experienced.

I'm obviously biased but Joel Ward was the best performing English right back (although he played most of the second half of the season out of position at left back).
Link
Based on last years stats, Ward and Trippier were the best English right backs.

go to schools and clubs and pick 50-60 kids that have talent and istead of paying rooney 300,000 a week pay some fuckers to train them properly i reckon... get them to do long range passing from early on.. instead of running around road cones... cos that what they did on the pitch world cup.
