CSS Dying?

Is it just me or is CSS slowly dying?

There seems to be a lack of people on, a lot of servers are no longer standard servers and all have gungame or zombie mods on.

If you look at the stats on Xfire, you will see that CSS has dropped out of the top 3. CSS used to be on par with WoW with numbers around 12 months ago.

I am not surprised at all about Cod4 being number 2 though, it is probably the best online mulitplayer game I have played.

The other main thing with CSS is the amount of hackers, I haven't seen a single hacker on Cod4 and I have played a good few hours on it.

Even Unreal Tournmant 3 is better than CSS in my opinion.

I think the only thing CSS has over Cod4 and UT3 is the fact it will run on shit computers.

Agree with the hacking story. I'm just not enjoying the game as much as I used to...

I have not played much since getting cod4 i think its time for css to throw in the hat!

Can we get our own cod server intead!?

Yay, I was hoping someone would say that.

Everyone should get COD4 and we should invest in a COD4 server.

Ill give cod4 a go but as you may all be aware my pc aint the fastest, and i aint gonna start upgrading it. I can cope with css and i enjoy playing, our servers dead though, think we should close it and maybe go our own ways...

Computers dont last forever, nor do computer games. You will need a whole new computer poon to play it at a reasonable frame rate.
Css is a very good game but when you find something better you move with it. If you can of course.

Im up for a COD server though and i know as soon as you guys play it you will be saying the same thing.

TBh were not just a css clan anyways we all play different games its just that we all met on css.

So skel im with ya start looking into it yeah?

16 player COD4 - £12 a month

I think 16 is a good number for COD4 especially when doing search and destroy etc. I went on a 32 man team deathmatch earlier, way too many people.

But even the 32 man is only £24.

We are currently paying £30 a month for the CSS server which is pretty much dead.

I merely have better and more important things in my life to spend my money on and i cant and wont justify spending afew hundred quid on a computer game. I hardly play on it anymore anyway and when i do an hours blast on css and im pretty much done. Good luck with the cod4 server gents, ill be seeing you around like, init!

I've got COD4 today, and my first impression is not so very good. I hate it that you can't buy a proper gun, the unlocking stuff is bullshit if you ask me.
I think I still prefer CSS and I definitely want to keep the CSS server running. CSS will never die if you ask me, people will always come back to it.

yeah 16 man is all good. Can we (eventually) swop the css one for cod? or do we have to stay with css on our server?

Just give it a bit of time and ull like it trust. i thought at first it was too difficult, but once id played single player and completed it i realised its a great game and multiplayer is even more fun.

It would be great to play cod with all the usual aop mob.

Whats everyone else think?
