downloading stopage

Post by sparksy »

so the gov are not getting enough tax from the record/film industry to give away to all the forign workers ect and benifit scroungers, so they are annoyingly aproaching providers and asking them to close accounts down if people are caught downloading.... well then does this mean the providers are monitoring us already... just last week after contacting aol about their shite service i was told to " if you have any programs like bit torrent or limewire , unistall them then..." hold on take software of my pc?? what the fuck has it got to do with them, or have they already been asked by the man ??? and also even if i clear my cache and clear toolbar history ect, if aol spazzes out and then re connects , someware in manages to come up with internet addreses form days ago??? do they keep info someware to do this??? people are watching the internet more and more closly it seems, just look at the ip addys peerguardian blocks and who is looking at you...bbc..sony..... i think this is just the start of a big shake up. record companys should have moved with the times, and not over charged britain for cds in my opinion. even EMI went tits up over it. keep your eyes out if your downloading...there all out to get us... like the hairys.

ISPs monitor everyone, they have to. They don't have to give that information out to record companies though.

And you shouldn't really be using Limewire, its the source of 90% of spyware on peoples machines.

Sparksy, download CCleaner and run that weekly. Removes junk and removes browsing history. Although AOHELL will still know what you did...

They don't effect them in anyway except for bandwidth and organisations telling them to stop people downloading etc. Just covering their backs.

Time to send letters to local M.Ps :) Like artists are going hungry and dying in the street. I say deal with the rougue spyware companies and the real nasty side of the internet such as child porn, illegal data collection, radical websites ect... before dealing with file sharing. I spent 6 long hours manually debugging this PC the other day (I didnt even DL anything illeagaly, came from a disk which had stuff Downloaded in the ROI were the laws are different ;) ), I mean ffs the people that installed it even have a website, which redirects users to buy a removal program that infects the system more (storage protector). Surely its URL should have been shut down by now and the country responsible for the prosecution of these individuals should have acted. Surely if the goverment has the sence, and the priorities for the protection of its Citizens at heart it will bring in mesures based on the actual threat to itself (the goverment) and its users. Bah I could go on, rant about how aljazeera was bombed during the gulf conflict and some dodgey extradition treatys to the U.S, however when it comes to web security the goverment should be taking more measures to protect us........ and not some fucking rich bastards in some record company in the states. Better stop now before it gets violent.......deep breaths.......I feel pretty, o so pretty, I feel pretty and witty and ..... :D

The websites are allowed to exist due to Freedom of Speech.

I have the email addresses of every MP in the UK. :D

And to say artists aren't affected is completely wrong.

Look at Britney Spears, resorting to drugs because of poor sales from her records. I mean, it can't be because she has no talent...surely.

lool just before i read the last bit of your post skell i was getting ready to post " thats cos shes shite" .... hahahah

the internet has opened up the whole world to anyone with a connection, there is some really nasty shit on it and over time you become more and more desensatised to it. record companys should have adapted to the internet along time ago, fuck me even the likes of david bowie have been releasing albums direct on the net and more recently radiohead. like og said to rich sat behind a desk counting pennys for to long. im suprised companys like hmv still exsist tbh the money they charge for the same cd as you can get in sainsburys for 9.99. we have had the piss extracted from us for to long in this country via vat/ tax...no wonder people just get it all for free.

Hollywood tried to ban DVDs before they came out. They said they would destroy the industry. They said the same about VHS too.

They aren't moaning now are they. Raking in it.

They should be doing the music purely for the joy of it because thats what they like doing, not because of the money.

Very few of the big pop stars coming out are actually talented.
