I could of sent you a cable as well, got loads of them. Wireless can be OK for games, but you can get regular timeouts especially in CSS.

If i just go in PCW cos its on way home and buy the cheapest one what is the acble gonna be called? Is it just network cable or sumit specific cos i know theres a difference between adsl and cable connectors aint there?

I used a ethnet cable on vista and i'm forced to use a wireless network adaptor on xp, Unless your laptop/desktop is wirless built in

If you are talking about laptop to router, you need a standard network cable (ethernet) with RJ45 connectors. Make sure the connectors aren't a different to colour to the cable, these are crossover cables and won't work.
