What a fucking con, seriously.skeletor wrote:http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2010 ... -sales.ars
I've fucking had it with DLC content and all that bollocks. If i buy a game I want to play the fucking game. not shell out £25-£50 (depending on platform usually) and then find out I need to spend another £10 to buy a few missions and a new fucking character.
Add-on and expansion packs, OK, they've always been around but they were only released as plot expansions usually, and they used to be second games (near enough). Now DLC is stupid shit like "Let's put an alien spaceship in fallout". OK it fits with the lore and history of fallout (unbelievably) but does it do anything to the plot? No, it doesn't. Plus developers can make even more money by having it as DLC which is cheaper distribution, yet still want to justify £15 for an expansion that last barely a few hours.
