What a fucking con, seriously.

I've fucking had it with DLC content and all that bollocks. If i buy a game I want to play the fucking game. not shell out £25-£50 (depending on platform usually) and then find out I need to spend another £10 to buy a few missions and a new fucking character.

Add-on and expansion packs, OK, they've always been around but they were only released as plot expansions usually, and they used to be second games (near enough). Now DLC is stupid shit like "Let's put an alien spaceship in fallout". OK it fits with the lore and history of fallout (unbelievably) but does it do anything to the plot? No, it doesn't. Plus developers can make even more money by having it as DLC which is cheaper distribution, yet still want to justify £15 for an expansion that last barely a few hours.

I played a little bit of Mass Effect 2 last night and it feels really different. Much more smooth combat and generally better. My friend who has it says its like the gears of war combat, but ive never played gears so wouldnt know.

The whole import thing was a bit of a piss take though. I was expecting you just go 'Import Character' and it would find your characters from Mass Effect 1 but apparently not. You have to do some config thing to get them, but i did it anyway. And the choices you make in the first game alter the second game if your importing a character which is a bit of a pisstake...
Spoiler:Highlight the text in the black area to see it.If you let Wrex/Ashley die in the first one decides if they will be in your party in the second one i believe. And which ending you choose alters the story somehow, havent worked out how yet though

I read that since I knew what it was going to say lol.
Spoiler:Highlight the text in the black area to see it.I recently did the mission where Wrex almost starts a fight and you have to chose between Ashley and Kaiden. First of all I calmed Wrex down else I would have had to kill him, then we went into the cloning plant and needless to say I saved Ashley on the way, because I haven't nailed her (or any of the alien women) yet. I need to get laid by someone before the game ends I just don't know who I am able to get it on with lol.

Thing that pissed me off though, is I only just left Kaiden about 15 yards away, I could have easily ran back and got him before getting Ashley but the game wouldn't let me so I did it again. Then that Seren guys comes down and he's half Reaper looking. can't decide now whether I am near the end or half way through
Also I read in a preview (was it in the Ars review skel linked?) that when importing a character you can still change your "style". When I say style, i mean stats. Soldier, Technician, Biotech (or whatever it was called). Because all the stats pages are gone and it's a lot more action-orientated. So obviously the only reason to import a character is for reasons above.

Spoiler:Highlight the text in the black area to see it.Saved Wrex because I'm a soft touch. Left Kaiden because I didn't use either of them and Ashley was better to talk to.
