If you are a noob to festivals then I'd go to local gigs easier all round.. It took us 2 days to finally get proper sorted
so only really got a proper good day out of the Sunday.
The toilets there were fucking awful there was a few hundred portapotties which stunk so bad I could barely piss
let alone shit so I held it in until I got home and same as skel saw no piss bottles get thrown but there was loads and loads of
shit all over the fields...nobody gave a fuck about the bins. The worst part for me was the fact that if you wanted to see someone big and was at a different
stage you had no chance of getting anywhere near the front you had to watch the massive monitors on the stage which in a way makes you feel a little ripped off.

Or you make your way up the to the front by going through people. If you force your way closer to the stage you will find that there are certain areas where there ends up being a large space so there tends to be plenty of room around the mid-front. Except for Metallica at Sonisphere the first year I went where we were right near the front and were squashed, took ages to get away from the stage.
As for the toilets, weren't there urinals at Download? Were loads at Sonisphere and wasn't a problem. Even going for a shit wasn't a problem, toilets hardly stunk.

You have to remember that Download is at Donnington park. Anything related to Donnington is about as well organised as their attemp to get a Grand Prix there.

literally couldn't move apart from my head until end of their set which was shit because I got stupidly sunburnt.
Nope no urinals just aload of portapotties in every corner of the place but they claimed they got cleaned after every 3 uses or something which was bollocks
Yeah... It will have to be a really...really... really good line-up to get me there again...Bloodstock next year hopefully even if it is more or lessRevolver wrote:You have to remember that Download is at Donnington park. in the same place.
Re: Twitter?
That sounds rather shit. Can't begin to imagine what Sonisphere would of been like with no urinals (the urinals always stunk and really badly but ease of use and all that).
If it is hot and sunny I have to wear a hoody all the time, fucking sun.

It was really shit on the hygiene front because everywhere you went fucking stunk
to the point where it put you off and made you feel sick... and I wish i kept my hoodie on now but
didn't want to sweat to death but I know what I'll be doing next time.
